How to set up your TV Menu

NOTE: If you are using an Intel PC Stick or Chromebit to power your TV Menu, please head over to this article.

As long as you have all the items listed in the "What you need" section below, you’ll be able to get your TV Menu up and running in less than 10 minutes!

What you need

  • Fire TV Stick (we recommend the Fire TV Stick Lite, which typically costs just $20-$30 on Amazon)
  • Any desktop computer, signed into the same Amazon account you used to purchase your Fire TV Stick
  • TV with HDMI port
  • Power outlet
  • Wi-Fi network
  • Your TV Menu ID number (how to find tv menu ID)

Step-by-step setup - download Fire App from your computer (easiest/fastest setup)

(NOTE: If you run into trouble with this step-by-step, use our manual download step-by-step.)

Step 1: Follow the instructions provided with your Fire TV Stick to power it on, and connect to Wi-Fi, and sign in to your Amazon account.

This should take only a few minutes (possibly longer if a software update is necessary).

You can also access Fire TV Stick setup instructions here.

Step 2: Hop over to your desktop computer (will not work on your phone) and click this link.

Step 3: Make sure the correct Fire TV device is selected from the dropdown, and then click "Get App":

Step 4: In a couple seconds you'll receive a notification on your Fire TV that announces that the BeerMenus TV Menu is ready to launch. If you're able to catch that notification, press (☰) on your Fire TV remote to quick-launch the app:

If the initial notification disappears before you're able to push (☰) on your remote, just scroll over to the "All apps and channels" icon, then press Select on your Fire TV remote:

Scroll down to the BeerMenus TV Menus app and select it with your Fire TV remote, which will launch the app:

Step 4: When the app launches, you'll see this screen:

Step 5: Press Select on your Fire TV remote to input your TV Menu ID, and when you're finished inputting it, select the "Next" button:

Step 6: Press the ⏩ or ⏪ buttons to rotate your screen to accommodate a vertical (portrait) layout. If you don’t need to rotate, then just click the “Got it” button.

🎉 🎉  Congratulations—you're done!

Step-by-step setup - download Fire App manually (takes slightly longer)

Once your Fire TV Stick is set up you’ll be brought to the Fire TV home screen. Click "Find":

Step 2: Click "Search," use voice search, and say "beer menu."

If it's loud in your bar or restaurant and voice search doesn't work, you can type "beermenu," "beer menu," or "beer menus."

All these searches will yield a similar result. Scroll down to the "Apps & Games" section:

Step 3: Within "Apps & Games" find the BeerMenus TV Menus app. Select and download it:

I've got my TV Menu setup, and now I'd like to make some design changes

Great!

You will not be making design changes through the Fire TV app—you'll make them through your business page on BeerMenus.com.

You can make a limited amount of changes yourself from your TV Menus settings, which you can find on your TV Menus tab:

But if you work with our professional graphic design team they can create a totally custom menu design for you for no additional cost. If you'd like our help, please reach out to us by:
