Squarespace site: how to install your BeerMenus Web Menu

Note: If you use a builder other than Squarespace (e.g. GoDaddy, Wix, etc.), this isn't the right article for you. Please find the correct installation guide here.

Here's the step-by-step guide to installing your Web Menu on a Squarespace site.

Step 1: Head to your BeerMenus.com page to find your install code. Here are instructions for that.

Step 2: Login to your Squarespace page here.

Step 3: This will bring you to your Dashboard. From here, click the web page you'd like to add your Web Menu to.

Step 4: Clicking there brings you to the home page of your website. If you want to add your Web Menu here, click "EDIT" at the top of the page.

If you want to add your Web Menu to a different page, click "Pages" in the list menu on the left side of the page (nested beneath "Website"). Navigate to the page you want to add the Web Menu to, and then click "EDIT" at the top of that page.

Step 5: Select “Add Block” on the top left hand side of the page:

Step 6: Search for or select the option for “</> Code” from the pop up menu:

Step 7: This creates a code block. You can resize the block by grabbing the white handles around the box and dragging. The BeerMenus Web Menu you're about to plug in will scroll within the size of this box, but it's likely you'll need to center this box on the page yourself using the white handles.

After it's centered/resized, click the Edit (pencil) button on the top left of the screen.

Step 8: Delete <p>Hello, World!</p> from the text box. This is just placeholder that Squarespace puts in there.

Step 9: Paste the Web Menu code you copied from BeerMenus (step 1) into the code box, then click "SAVE" in the upper left hand corner of the screen to update the web page.

Step 10: “Preview the menu in “Safe Mode” to make sure everything looks good.

And if everything looks good, then click EXIT in the top left of the screen and you're all set—Web Menu installed!

Step 11 (optional): If you've created separate Web Menu profiles, repeat the steps for your other Web Menus.
