Other methods for soft/hard reset of the Firestick:

A. Quick-Restart the BeerMenus App

  1. Go Home: Press the Home button.
  2. Open Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications.
  3. Scroll to BeerMenus → press ☰ Menu on the remote.
  4. Choose Force Stop → OK.
  5. Back out, reopen BeerMenus from Your Apps & Games.

B. Soft-Reboot the Fire TV Stick

Method 1 – Remote Shortcut

  1. Hold SELECT (center) + PLAY/PAUSE together for 5 seconds.
  2. The screen turns black; after ~45 sec you’ll see the Fire TV splash and it will reload BeerMenus.

Method 2 – Via Settings

  1. Settings → My Fire TV (or Device & Software).
  2. Select Restart → OK to confirm.

C. Hard-Power-Cycle

  1. Gently unplug the micro-USB power cable or the wall adapter.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in; boot-up takes ~1 minute

Tip: If you find yourself rebooting often, clear BeerMenus’ cache once a week and keep the Fire Stick’s storage above 500 MB free (Settings → My Fire TV → About → Storage).
