How to customize your QR Menu
Off the top: if you have any questions about your QR Menu, how QR Menus work, or just want some pointers on the best way to use them, schedule a QR Menu consultation with Dylan, our point man for QR Menus.
Adding your logo to your QR Menu's header
Adding your logo to your QR Menu's header helps you maintain your business's branding, and provides customers a pleasant menu experience.
Note: When you add a logo to your QR Menu's header, you'll remove the header text that's there by default. In other words, you can't have both a header logo and header text.
However, you can (and probably should, if it's relevant) include a subheader to message your flights, happy hour, etc. There's more on that below.
What kind of file can I use? What size should it be?
File types
The following file types will work:
- .png
- .jpg
- .jpeg
But a PNG file with a transparent background will look best. If you need help creating one of those, email us at support@beermenus.com.
Image size
The logo uploader accepts images with a max height of 800 pixels and a max width of 1600 pixels. Images larger than that won't work.
When images are uploaded, we automatically scale them by height. The takehome: don't use an image that's taller than it is wide. If you do, the image will appear stretched and won't look good.
How to add your logo
To add your logo to your QR Menu, follow these simple steps:
Step 1: head over to your update menu page (the place where you add/remove items from your menu).
Step 2: Click on your QR Menu tab:
Step 3: Scroll down to your QR Menu settings, where you'll find the "Header and subheader" section:
Step 4: Click the "Choose file" button, select your logo file, and upload it. After that, hit the blue "Save" button:
After that, your logo will appear at the top of your QR Menu.
To preview it, simply scroll back up to the top of your QR Menu tab, and either click the blue "View my QR Menu" button or use your phone to scan the QR code on the right side of the page:

Can I add more information to the header?
Given the shape and dimension limitations of phones, it's best to add more information in the form of a subheader.
To add a subheader, return to your QR Menu tab and scroll down to QR Menu settings.
Once you're there, you'll see a field titled "Subheader text." Type what you'd like to show up in your subheader into that field:
As soon as you hit save, that subheader will appear on your QR Menu.
Here's an example of how to use a logo/subheader combination could look:
What about other customizations, like fonts, colors, etc.?
There's a ton of customizability available for QR Menus, but outside of these options we need to take care of it on our end, in the code.
But here's the good news: we'll take care of all your customizations for free. Just let us know what you'd like to see and we'll make it happen.
